Principal Environmental Consultant & Certified Environmental Practitioner Site Contamination Specialist

Julian is a Principal Environmental Consultant, with over 16 years’ experience investigating and remediating a wide range of complex contamination issues to help clients reach positive outcomes for future land use or to meet regulatory obligations. Through the projects Julian has worked on he has developed complimentary skills in facilitating stakeholder and media engagement to communicate contamination issues. He has also developed a strong understanding of the requirements and triggers of the new South Australian Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act (2016), with regards to site contamination.

A certified environmental practitioner Site contamination specialist (CenvP SC), Julian has managed the assessment of various green and brown field sites, including industrial sites such as steel mills, gas works, timber mills, railway yards, ports and petroleum storage and distribution facilities in the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, Australian Capital Territory and South Australia. He has also managed and provided technical input in the assessment, design and implementation of permanent and semi-permanent remediation systems, including principal contractor management. He has extensive experience in preparing and submitting development applications, liaising with stakeholders and regulatory bodies, engaging subcontractors and ensuring a high level of safety is maintained on site.
