Kane
Environmental Consultant
Kane joined the LBWco team in early 2023 as a newcomer to the industry, with a critical and curious mind, and the ideology that learning is a never-ending process. He has an appreciation for transparency, pragmatism, efficiency, and uncovering answers.
Growing up as an Adelaide local on the outskirts of the Barossa Valley, Kane has always expressed a passion for the natural sciences, particularly in geology. He subsequently completed a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Geoscience and Environmental Science in 2020 and comes to LBWco with a keen motivation to assess, understand and assist with the management of various environmental issues.
Prior to joining LBWco, Kane spent two years as a soil technician / geotechnician in the Construction Materials Testing (soil testing) industry, in a NATA accredited laboratory. During this time, he was highly adaptable with working both within the laboratory and in the field to satisfy his clients’ needs. In the laboratory, Kane was largely involved with various technical tests used to determine the physical and reactive properties of natural and clean fill materials in accordance with numerous Australian Standards. He brings with him a range of field-based and hands-on skills to deploy in site investigations and data collection. He aims to utilise and expand his experience to produce a meaningful contribution to the industry and the environment, with the desire to develop a strong fundamental understanding of the end-to-end process in site investigation, remediation and reporting of results.
